Simon Marchner

I am a freelance Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Screen Printer based in Munich, Germany.

My work focuses on music-related design, creating tour posters, album artwork, merchandise, visual identities and campaigns for artists, festivals and cultural institutions. Over the years, I have collaborated with some of the world’s most renowned bands, musicians and brands, ranging from Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters to The Rolling Stones, Wu-Tang Clan and Volkswagen Germany.

My visual approach combines a minimal graphic language with strong typography and a carefully considered use of colour, space and composition. A central part of my practice is the creation of limited-edition screen-printed posters, produced with a strong focus on craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Alongside my design work, I regularly share my experience through lectures, workshops and educational programs. I offer hands-on screen-printing workshops and currently teach Communication Design and Colour Theory at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences and the Academy for Design and Communication (Akademie für Gestaltung und Design).
